Sameer Shalaby Chief Executive OfficerSameer Shalaby joined Paladyne Systems in July 2005 as the CEO. Mr. Shalaby oversees all corporate functions with a focus on achieving maximum return on invested capital. Prior to joining Paladyne, he was the Founder, President and CEO of Cogency Software, a provider of data aggregation and reporting solutions for the alternative investment industry. Mr. Shalaby helped Cogency become a leader in the space with some of the world's largest hedge funds and fund of funds as clients. Prior to Cogency, he served as Senior Vice President of Development at TenFold Corporation, a provider of applications development infrastructure technologies. While there, he helped create the Universal Application, a patented platform that enables business analysts to rapidly build and deploy applications. Mr. Shalaby helped drive TenFold's explosive growth, which resulted in an IPO in 1999. He also managed TenFold's UK operations and played a key role in the company's enterprise sales efforts.
Mr. Shalaby held senior technology roles at Oracle and was a key contributor to the development of SQL*Net in Oracle Corporation's Network Products Division.
He received his BS in electrical engineering and computer science from The George Washington University and his MS in computer science from MIT.
Scott Alderson joined Paladyne Systems in August 2005 as the President and will focus primarily on new business development, sales and corporate strategy. Mr. Alderson brings over 14 years of experience working with hedge fund software and services providers. Prior to joining Paladyne, he was a Managing Director at Integrated Business Systems Inc, a provider of portfolio accounting solutions for the alternative investment industry. Mr. Alderson was directly responsible for all sales activities and business development, and was the principal driver of growth and revenue at Integrated. Prior to Integrated, he served as Vice President and Director of the hedge fund business unit at SS&C Technologies, Inc., a global provider of software solutions and services to the financial services industry. While there, he helped grow the business unit to over 300 hedge fund client relationships.
Prior to joining SS&C, Mr. Alderson was a senior consultant at Shepro Braun Systems Inc., a hedge fund software provider, and was responsible for managing software implementation projects at many of the world's largest hedge funds.
He received his BA in economics from the University of Rochester and his MBA in finance and accounting from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration.
Sol Zlotchenko joined Paladyne in July 2005 as the CTO. Mr. Zlotchenko oversees all aspects of technology operations including development and product management for the complete suite of Paladyne products. He will be responsible for managing and maintaining both local and foreign development teams and will play a key role in building Paladyne's ASP / Hosted service offering. Prior to Paladyne Mr. Zlotchenko was the Head of Development at Alexandra Investment Management, a multi-billion, multi-strategy hedge fund. During his tenure at Alexandra Investment Management, Mr. Zlotchenko guided the company through tremendous growth, investment strategy diversification, and explosive technology infrastructure development. Moreover, he led development of numerous proprietary applications and third-party integration products covering trading, risk management, operations, accounting, and investor relations.
Mr. Zlotchenko has extensive experience in financial services industry including a position at Goldman Sachs where he worked in various roles across multiple technology divisions.
He received his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Columbia University.
Christian Robertson joined Paladyne Systems in July 2005 as the COO. Mr. Robertson oversees all operations with a particular focus on managing the consulting and client support services that Paladyne provides its clients. Mr. Robertson will also play a key role in building and managing Paladyne's ASP / Hosted service offering. Prior to joining Paladyne, he was the Founder and President of GAA, a consulting firm providing high-end system selection and implementation services to the alternative investment industry. At GAA, Mr. Robertson gained a unique understanding of most of the software solutions available to today's hedge funds. His career in consulting grew out of over a decade of experience in the financial services industry as an investment banker for CSFB and Merrill Lynch advising European and North American technology and communication companies.
Mr. Robertson received his BA from McGill University and his MBA from Hautes Etudes Commerciales.
Ayman Sakr joined Paladyne Systems in March 2006 to manage all client services activities, and is responsible for expanding Paladyne’s services organization to meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base. With more than 14 years of experience in building and delivering market-driven solutions to customers, Mr. Sakr is well qualified to build a scaleable, knowledgeable, and streamlined client service team. Prior to joining Paladyne, Mr. Sakr was Director of Client Services at Cogency Software, a venture-backed hedge fund solutions provider, where he was an early founder, and was responsible for designing, building, and delivering software solutions to hedge funds. Previously, Mr. Sakr has held various technical and support management positions at TenFold Corporation, a provider of vertical industry applications and development tools. He also held senior technology management positions at Ultimate Technologies, a software solutions provider in Canada, and Sakhr Software, a leading Arabic Solutions provider in the Middle East.
He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt.
John Rizzo joined Paladyne Systems in July 2009 as part of the acquisition of Oakwood Financial Technologies. As the CEO of Oakwood Mr. Rizzo had built a company focused on providing best of bread credit trading software. Prior to the establishment of Oakwood, Mr. Rizzo was the CTO at D.B. Zwirn, a multibillion-dollar hedge fund focused on credit products as well as many other illiquid assets. As CTO of D.B. Zwirn, he was responsible for key initiatives integrating every business unit at the firm, to improve efficiency and reduced operational risk. Prior to D.B. Zwirn, Mr. Rizzo was a senior technology manager at Highbridge Capital Management, a NY-based multibillion-dollar hedge fund. Prior to Highbridge, Mr. Rizzo held various technology positions in the financial industry.
He received his B.S. in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Sean O'Mara Vice President of Alliance PartnersSean O'Mara joined Paladyne Systems in October 2009 to manage Paladyne's growing alliance network of partners. Mr. O'Mara brings over 12 years of experience working with services providers and hedge fund software. Prior to joining Paladyne, he was a Director at UBS Prime Brokerage, where he was responsible for coordinating new client integration and managing 3rd-party connectivity. Prior to UBS, Mr. O'Mara was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers Prime Brokerage, where he managed the US Transition Team. Mr. O'Mara started his career in Prime Brokerage as a Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where he managed vendor connectivity for new hedge fund clients. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. O'Mara was a senior consultant at Advent Software, a leading software provider to investment management organizations, where he was responsible for managing software implementations at many of the world’s largest financial firms.
He received his BBA in Finance from Hofstra University and his MBA in Business Administration from Adelphi University. Mr O'Mara is Series 7, 63 and 3 certified.
Jonathan Cross joined Paladyne Systems in September 2009 to manage all aspects of Paladyne’s European operations, and is responsible for expanding Paladyne’s European presence to meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Mr. Cross is well qualified to build a scaleable, knowledgeable, and streamlined organization. Prior to joining Paladyne, Mr. Cross was COO at Tradar, a provider of portfolio management software to the alternative investment community, and was responsible for all operations including client support and professional services. Mr. Cross joined Tradar as employee #3 and has effectively built and grew their business significantly to 170 clients in 20 countries. Previously, Mr. Cross has held various technical roles and provided software solutions and consultancy services for a number of major financial institutions.
Eric Royer joined Paladyne Systems in November 2009 to establish Paladyne’s Hong Kong office and manage Paladyne’s Asia Pacific operations. Mr. Royer's previous experience makes him highly qualified to expand Paladyne’s presence in the region in order to meet the increasing complex needs of the alternative investment industry . Prior to joining Paladyne, Mr. Royer was Managing Director of Tradar Asia, a UK based provider of portfolio management software for hedge funds. Mr. Royer started Tradar’s Hong Kong office in June 2005 and effectively grew the office and client base in the region. He oversaw the region’s sales, implementation, support, account management, product management, and professional services functions, along with establishing the company’s quality assurance branch.
He received his BS in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University.
